1. Acceptance

By using WhatMyIPAddressIs.com you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

2. The service

We provide free, browser-based network tools including IP address detection and lookup, a speed test, DNS record queries, a browser information check and a subnet calculator, together with explanatory guides. The service is provided free of charge and without any account.

3. Accuracy and no warranty

The tools are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied.

IP geolocation in particular is an estimate. Country-level results are usually accurate; city, postal code and coordinate results frequently are not, especially on mobile, satellite and VPN connections. Speed test results vary with network conditions and are a snapshot, not a guarantee of your line's capability. DNS results reflect one resolver's cached view at one moment.

Do not rely on any output from this site as the sole basis for a legal, financial, security or compliance decision.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the site to harass, stalk, threaten or identify any individual
• attempt to gain unauthorised access to any system, whether ours or a third party's
• run automated scraping, bulk querying or load testing against the site or the APIs behind it
• interfere with the operation of the site, or circumvent any rate limits
• use the site in violation of any applicable law, or of any third-party API's terms
• misrepresent the tools' output as an exact physical location of a person

We may restrict access where use appears abusive or automated.

5. Third-party services

The tools query third-party public APIs, and the site displays third-party advertising. We do not control those services, do not guarantee their availability or accuracy, and are not responsible for their content. Their own terms and privacy policies apply to their part of the interaction.

6. Intellectual property

The design, text, code and layout of this site are our property and are protected by copyright. You may use the tools freely and quote short passages from our guides with attribution and a link. You may not republish substantial portions of the content, or copy the site's design or code, without written permission.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the site. Because the service is provided free of charge, our total aggregate liability to you is limited to zero.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

8. Availability

We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. The site may be unavailable during maintenance, or because a third-party API we depend on is down. We may modify or discontinue any tool at any time without notice.

9. Advertising

This site is supported by advertising. Advertisements are supplied by third-party networks and their presence is not an endorsement. We are not party to any transaction between you and an advertiser, and we are not responsible for the products or services advertised.

10. Changes

We may revise these terms. Continued use after a revision constitutes acceptance of the updated terms, and the date at the top reflects the current version.
